HijackThis is a great free tool to find and fix corrupted or infected things on your computer.
It scans a machine for suspicious activity and provides a specific log with collected information. The logs can be difficult to understand if you are not familiar with running processes. HijackThis gives an option to remove suspicious entries, but you should be careful on this. Some of entries might belong to legitimate software or even operating system and deleting critical parts can put computer’s work out of order. If you have doubts of what needs to be removed, post your log on a reputable spyware fight forum board.
