Although Microsoft Windows Vista was advertised as impossible for malicious code to sneak in, this ‘feature’ was already proved to be false. Microsoft has created a new way to prevent malicious drivers (which can be used by rootkits) from getting onto a computer. However a new malicious tool was created to evade this kind of security as soon as Vista reached stores.
Furthermore, apparently there is an easier way to infect Windows Vista. The new security system is based on the use of signed driver, so it shouldn’t be possible for unsigned driver to sneak in. However if someone registers a company and gets a certificate to sign drivers, he can infect Vista easily.
