Oki Electric, a security software developer, has released middleware that can add eye recognition to cell phones and PDAs. According to their press release, their "Iris Recognition Technology for Mobile Terminals" can use webcams or integrated video recording devices on portable devices that use Windows Mobile, Windows XP or Symbian OS to recognize the biometric data of their users. Any camera with more than 1 megapixel resolution can be used by Oki electric software for retinal scan.
